I will be graduating with a degree in communication and hope to put it to work on tv or film productions.
How hard is it to find work in LA that pays high enough to pay the rent?
Depends on how much you want to pay for rent/
Reply:sometimes, yes.. depends on what kind of work you do. minimum wage jobs, like mcdonalds and such, start around 6.75-7 bucks an hour.. department store jobs start about 8-9 dollars.. teachers aides start at about 10-12 an hour, and lawyers make over 100k a year. lol, so really, it does depend. i know you said you have a degree in communication, but i'm not sure what kind of job you can get with that.. no experience with that whatsoever. those working at mcdonalds, even full-time, probably won't be able to afford even a one bedroom in a nicer area. there are a gazillion "areas" in LA county - it's huge.. I'm sure you'll be able to find something, but don't count on it being the greatest if you're not willing to share a room, or if you're not willing to pay more than 8 or 9 hundred bucks a month just for rent. good luck in whatever you choose to do.
