I've tried rigzone.com and craigslist, and several other sites, and even the oil companies' sites, but I just can't find entry level jobs, only jobs that require previous experience, or engineering or geology degrees. What's the deal?

Try applying to companies in Alberta, Canada. We've got almost as much oil up here as the Saudis and the companies are starving for workers!
